Useful information for the journey of passengers with reduced mobility
Crew members are trained to assist passengers with reduced mobility. On board all ships, there is a designated crew member responsible for assisting passengers who cannot move independently.
To ensure we can provide proper assistance to PRMs, please request specific information about onboard facilities in advance at our ticket offices, through our call center, or directly from onboard staff. We also ask that you arrive at boarding with sufficient advance notice, clearly stating the need for specific assistance.
In this regard, please note that according to EU Regulation EC 1177/2010:
-
Carriers and terminal operators, within their respective areas of competence, shall provide assistance to persons with disabilities or reduced mobility as set out in Article 10, provided that:
- The carrier or terminal operator is informed, by any available means, including electronically or by SMS, of the need for assistance at least forty-eight hours before such assistance is required, unless a shorter time frame is agreed upon by the passenger and the carrier or terminal operator.
-
The person with a disability or reduced mobility presents themselves at the port or agreed location as referred to in Article 12, paragraph 3:
- At a time specified in writing by the carrier, provided that it does not exceed sixty minutes before the published boarding time, or
- If no boarding time has been specified, at least sixty minutes before the published departure time, unless a shorter time frame is agreed upon by the passenger and the carrier or terminal operator.
